From Malaysia to the Maritimes
Dr. Al was born in Malaysia and moved to Canada in 1989. He studied Biochemistry at the University of New Brunswick, then moved to Halifax for dentistry at Dalhousie University.
Dentistry in the Canadian Forces
He began his career in the Canadian Forces. After graduating from Dalhousie in 2004, he was posted to Edmonton as a dental officer — a role he held for ten years.
That experience shaped the calm, unhurried way he works with nervous patients today.
Dentistry from the heart
Dr. Al believes in dentistry from the heart, and treats every patient as a member of his family. He also believes in having fun.
The team works hard to put patients at ease from the moment they walk in the door.
Outside the office
Dr. Al spends his spare time with his family. He plays badminton and volleyball, composes songs on the piano, and travels when he can.
