Partial dentures are used to restore single or multiple missing teeth when you still have the majority of your natural teeth. Exercitation Dentures are made from various materials, depending on cost and function. Complete dentures are designed to fit the contours of your arch, so they remain stable and secure while you eat or speak. Partial dentures can be attached to your natural teeth using metal clasps. Dentures questions we get
How long does it take to get used to a new denture?
Give it a few weeks. Speaking and eating feel odd at first, and sore spots in the first days are normal — come in and we will adjust them.
Can I sleep in them?
Better not to. Your gums need time without pressure, and it lowers the risk of fungal problems.
My lower denture floats — is that it?
Not necessarily. A reline often fixes it, and implants can anchor it if the ridge has shrunk.
